Harrisburg, PA – Conservative Republican candidate, Sam Rohrer, announced today that he had earned the endorsement of Donald E. Wildmon, the founder and chairman of the American Family Association.

The American Family Association (AFA) is a non-profit organization that promotes conservative Christian values.  The AFA is one of the largest conservative Christian organizations in the nation with more than 2 million supporters and 180,000 paid subscribers to the AFA Journal.

Reverend Wildmon founded the AFA in 1977 and has led the organization to fight on the frontlines of America’s culture war.

AFA’s non-profit status prevents it from endorsing candidates for political office; however, Reverend Wildmon’s endorsement carries significant weight among the AFA’s broad support base.

“I am proud to have the support and endorsement of Reverend Wildmon.  He has fought for decades to preserve the conservative way of life.  His endorsement is another strong indication that our campaign for U.S. Senate is receiving the support of conservative voters all across the state,” said Rohrer.

“Pennsylvania needs a strong conservative U.S. Senator,” said Wildmon.  “Sam Rohrer served the people of Pennsylvania well during his nine terms in the State House.  His voting record proves his belief in fiscal responsibility, limited government and the free market system as well as his strong stands on property rights, the Second Amendment, life and family.  Sam has led the effort in upholding the Tenth Amendment to protect states' rights, in advocating for Pennsylvania students by authoring the Education Improvement Act and making positive changes in the PA home school law. This vast experience has well prepared him for the United States Senate and Washington, DC.  Because of this strong conservative record, I readily endorse Sam Rohrer to be the next United States Senator from Pennsylvania.”

Rohrer continues to add to a list of impressive local and national endorsements including former conservative presidential candidates Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain, HSLDA Chairman Michael Farris, as well as support from 30 Tea Party groups across the keystone state.

Harrisburg, PA – Conservative Republican candidate, Sam Rohrer, announced today that he had earned the endorsement Michael Farris, the Chairman of the Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA).

Farris, a constitutional lawyer who founded the HSLDA in 1983, is among the most visible leaders of the homeschool population.  His efforts at the HSLDA have resulted in a number of court rulings and policy changes favoring homeschooling.

HSLDA’s non-profit status prevents it from endorsing candidates for political office; however, Farris’ endorsement is noticed by the tens-of-thousands of homeschool advocates across the country.

“I am honored to receive the support of Michael Farris.  His work at HSLDA has changed the landscape for parents wanting to teach their children at home,” said Rohrer.  “I have long been an advocate of homeschoolers and am proud to receive the endorsement of Michael Farris as an indication that homeschoolers across Pennsylvania are in my corner.”

“While I am not a voter in Pennsylvania, I do care deeply about the election of principled and proven leaders to public office. As one who has worked alongside Sam for many years, I know of no one more prepared or qualified to serve as the next US Senator from Pennsylvania. It is of grave importance that we have someone in the US Senate who understands the importance of supporting and defending the Constitution, and who believes that the government should protect our God-given rights, not weaken or usurp them,” said Farris.

Rohrer continues to add to a list of impressive local and national endorsements including former conservative presidential candidates Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain, as well as support from 30 Tea Party groups across the keystone state.

Rohrer is a former State Representative from 1992 to 2010, and served as a 14-year member of the Appropriations Committee where he produced sound state budgets under both Republican and Democrat Governors.

Harrisburg, PA – Conservative Republican candidate, Sam Rohrer, announced today that he had earned the endorsement of nearly 30 Tea Party groups across the state that operates as the Pennsylvania Grassroots and Conservative Coalition.

The news of the Tea Party endorsements comes days after Rohrer announced endorsements from former conservative presidential candidates Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain.

“The endorsement of the coalition is an immense honor, as their members are among the most active conservative volunteers across the state,” said Rohrer. “Every day we gain the support of more state and national conservative leaders who believe that I am best suited to run and win in November.”

The Pennsylvania Grassroots and Conservative Coalition is a group of nearly 30 civically-engaged, active and independent groups throughout the state of Pennsylvania. The endorsement of Rohrer comes after a straw polling within the Coalition’s groups to voluntarily support Sam Rohrer as the Republican Party U.S. Senate Candidate. Only candidates that received the polling of at least 65% of the participating groups won the unity of the coalition.

Diana Reimer, one of the coalition coordinators said, “The coalition strongly hopes that all like-minded and conservative citizens across Pennsylvania bring their support behind Sam Rohrer. In my opinion, political party-endorsed candidates get tremendous support from political party resources across the state, so in a bold move, the coalition determined to band together behind one of the candidates whose traditional conservative values are closest to those of the coalition, such as Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets".

Rohrer is a former State Representative from 1992 to 2010, and served as a 14-year member of the Appropriations Committee where he produced sound state budgets under both Republican and Democrat Governors.

Harrisburg, PA – Conservative Republican candidate, Sam Rohrer, announced today that Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has endorsed him in his run for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania.

Bachmann joins a growing list of local and national conservative leaders to support Rohrer, including Herman Cain who endorsed Rohrer this past weekend.  Cain wrote his supporters on Friday asking them to support Rohrer’s campaign.

“Our campaign is gaining significant momentum and support from conservatives all over the country,” said Rohrer.  “I am proud that conservative leaders like Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain have boldly backed my race against two candidates who were members of the Democratic Party before conveniently changing their party alliance prior to this election.” Republican candidates Steve Welch and Tom Smith were previously registered as Democrats before launching their campaigns for U.S. Senate.

Recently released polling from Public Policy Polling (March 2-4, 2012 and November 2011) indicated that Rohrer has lead the five-person field since late 2011.  Rohrer maintains a double-digit lead among Tea Party, evangelical and very conservative voters.

“No other candidate in this race can coalesce the conservative vote, leaving the other candidates to split what is left,” said Rohrer campaign manager Zac Moyle.  “Endorsements from conservative leaders like Bachmann and Cain have led to a considerable increase in contributions and show we have the momentum on our side.”

Rohrer is a former State Representative from 1992 to 2010, and served as a 14-year member of the Appropriations Committee where he produced sound state budgets under both Republican and Democrat Governors.
